Bitcoin and Solana Architecture
See where Bitcoin Rune concepts end and the RuneLab launch flow begins.
Two systems#
| Bitcoin Runes protocol | RuneLab application |
|---|---|
| Bitcoin transactions and UTXOs | Solana transactions and wallet-standard wallets |
| Runestones carry protocol messages | Pump.fun launch transaction creates the token |
| Rune ID is BLOCK:TX | Launch record is tied to Solana mint and transaction |
| Ordinals protocol rules | Application and server-side launch verification |
No Bitcoin bridge in the launch flow#
The implemented launch flow does not create a Bitcoin Rune, lock Bitcoin, mint a bridged representation, or move assets between Bitcoin and Solana. Treat Bitcoin Rune terminology as product context unless an on-chain Bitcoin integration is explicitly added and documented.
Cross-chain considerations#
A future bridge would need a defined custody or verification model, clear asset identity mapping, and explicit security assumptions around the parties or proofs that authorize cross-chain movement. None of those components are implemented in the current RuneLab launch flow.
